At Splat Craft & Pop, we believe getting messy is one of the best things a child can do. Serving families across Cheshire including Congleton, Sandbach and surrounding areas, our messy play sessions are bursting with painting, gloop, foam, sand, dough and all sorts of wonderful sensory materials - helping your little one explore the world through touch, sight, smell and sound.

Every session is thoughtfully planned to support your child's development while keeping things fun, relaxed, and - above all - brilliantly messy. Oh, and there's always a coffee and a friendly chat for the grown-ups too! ☕

Our sessions are gloriously messy - that's entirely the point! Please don't come wearing anything you'd be heartbroken to get paint, dye, gloop or glitter on. Old clothes are absolutely perfect. And yes, the same rule applies to shoes!

What should my child wear to sessions?

Please dress your little one in old clothes you don't mind getting messy! We recommend waterproof ponchos, puddle suits, or old clothes and scruffy shoes. Our sessions use washable materials, but paint and dye can sometimes stain. Check our clothing recommendations for suggested protective wear.

What's included in each session?

Each session includes a variety of messy play activities with different sensory materials like paint, gloop, foam, sand, dough, and more. All materials are safe, non-toxic, and age-appropriate. We also provide refreshments (tea, coffee) for grown-ups. Sessions last approximately 50 minutes.

Do sessions run during school holidays?

No, our regular sessions run during term time only. We take a break during school holidays. However, we do offer birthday parties year-round - get in touch if you'd like to book a special messy play party for your little one!

Are the materials safe for babies and toddlers?

Absolutely! We use only safe, non-toxic, washable materials that are suitable for young children. All our activities are thoughtfully planned with safety as a top priority, and sessions are supervised throughout.

Can I stay with my child during the session?

Yes! Parents and carers are welcome (and encouraged) to join in the messy fun with their little ones. Many grown-ups find it just as enjoyable! We provide refreshments so you can relax and chat with other parents too.
